preview: tonight's american idol- the final two, night two

so last night, jordin and blake took the stage at the famed kodak theater and performed their "greatest hits"...or songs they have already performed this season, with the exception of the last song titled "this is my now". the song was the winner of a submission contest and i will say that although still cheesy, still way better than last year's "do i make you proud?". and with that said, simon and randy did remind the viewers that above all, american idol is a singing competition. so with that said, i pick jordin as the winner. although, never underestimate the power of the 12 year old girls (aka, blake's fanbase). highlights from last night's episode:
-random c-list celebs (aka, kathy griffin).
-ryan seacrest calling paula/her dog "a bitch" (we all know he was talking about paula).
-seeing jordin choke up toward the end of singing her last song. that girl knows she's gonna win.
-paula (and her hair) looking like a complete mess
-paula having complete disregard for the fact that it's a live show and saying "hi" to chris daughtry while ryan introduces him

preview: tonight's american idol- the final two

so after the tens of thousands of freakshows, karaoke singers, and talented kids, the american idol finale is finally upon us.

ahhh, it seems like yesterday i was laughing with (and at) ian benardo.

so tonight, it's jordin vs. blake. and like i mentioned last week, i'm not sure who i want to win. on one hand, i think blake is amazing and different and jordin is only 17 and she has plenty of time to become a superstar. on the other hand, jordin clearly has a talent and has a beautiful voice and could become the next kelly clarkson.

hmmm...and on the other hand, i'm waaaaaay too invested in this already. just watch their performances tonight. vote at that 877 number. watch tomorrow's stretched out (but sure to be awesome) 2-hour finale to see who wins.

preview: tonight's lost "greatest hits"

well, lost has been on a winning streak if you ask me (especially after last week's MIND BLOWING episode). tonight sounds like it's going to keep the streak alive and set up a bunch of stuff for the two hour finale next week.
here's the official summary from abc:
While Jack devises a plan to do away with "The Others" once and for all, Sayid uncovers a flaw in "The Others'" system that could lead to everyone's rescue. But it requires Charlie to take on a dangerous task that may make Desmond's premonition come true.
for clips of tonight's AWESOME looking episode, click here. jack kinda looks like he might be cool again.
also, a friend of mine sent me this CRAZY (but so crazy it might actually be perfect) theory about the entire existence of the island. if you're up to reading it, click here. not a spoiler, just a theory.
BUT, if you are in a spoiler-y mood, another friend of mine sent me spoiler for tonight's episode and next week's two hour finale. like, these are REALLY BIG spoilers. consider yourself warned. if you click here, there's no turning back. not sure if they are foilers, but i will say that if even HALF of the stuff they say actually ends up happening in the finale, it will be the best finale lost has had in it's three seasons. like MAJOR cliffhanger.
ok, so watch tonight. go on living your life.

holy hogwarts! new harry potter and the order of the phoenix trailer!

for whatever reason, the geen execs over at warner bros decided to spend money advertising on the survivor: fiji finale last night, which is beyond me since 10 year olds don't watch that junk. and neither do i. but i do paruse different websites, which is how i was lucky enough to find this new :30 second spot. and no, before you ask, i wasn't on emma-watson.net. so without further adieu, enjoy this new harry potter trailer. I. CAN'T. WAIT.

p-review: bratz the movie

paula abdul is involved in the bratz movie coming out in august. that news came out a while ago. but for whatever reason, i figured maybe the movie would take a while to go into production and actually come out in theaters. well, bad news bears guys: the movie has an august release date.

even worse news? the trailer is now online. for kids to see. i can already vow to NOT take my six year old sister to see this crap. although my parents will probably take her to shut her up.
the movie stars a bunch of teenagers and people i've never heard of. but i fiind it hilarious that the movie is directed by a guy named sean mcnamara. if you're like me, you automatically think of the nip/tuck character played by dylan walsh.
anyway, if you're in a particulary sadistic mood today, you can view the trailer at yahoo! movies.

preview: tonight's office- "beach games"

counting tonight, there are only TWO more episodes of the office left, which means two more weeks until someone puts a pacifier in my mouth because i'll be crying like a baby for the entire summer of re-runs.

tonight's episode is titled "beach games". here is the official summary from nbc:
Michael is being considered for a position in Corporate and has to recommend his replacement. While the group expects a fun outing at Lake Scranton, Michael has planned a day of Survivor-like competitions to find his successor. Meanwhile, Pam is not asked to join in any of the activities and is forced to watch Jim and Karen have fun together.

you can see two short clips of tonight's episode over at yahoo! tv. i cannot wait for the supersized fun.

preview: tonight's lost- "the man behind the curtain"

last week's lost was focused mainly on sawyer and locke. sawyer met locke's dad, and realized that he was the real sawyer. so what did he do? kill him. in exchange, locke warned sawyer that the others were planning to invade the beach and take the pregnant women (i.e. sun). he also gave him proof to take back to the camp that juliet was a mole.
considering that tonight's episode is titled "the man behind the curtain", i can't help but think that we'll learn a little more on who exactly is behind the whole island thing. here's a summary of tonight's episode:
Ben begrudgingly begins to let Locke in on the island's secrets. The first one involves the mysterious Jacob. Meanwhile, Juliet's secret is out. Flashbacks follow Ben.
for a sneak peek at tonight's episode, you can see one of the scenes here.

preview: tonight's american idol

phew! so thanks to usa today, it looks like the american idol contestants aren't necessarily singing disco songs which couldn't make me happier. especially since the contestants are singing TWO songs each. barry gibb will be mentoring the kids tonight.
here's what it looks like they'll be singing tonight:
blake lewis- "you should be dancing" and "this is where i came in"

jordin sparks- "woman in love" and "to love somebody"

melinda dolittle- "love you inside out" and "how can you mend a broken heart"

lakisha jones- "run to me" and "stayin' alive"

i'm a 'blaker girl' myself, so that's who i'll be rooting for.

preview: tonight's office- "women's apprecation"

the office returns tonight with a supersized episide! here's a summary of tonight's upcoming episode titled "women's apprecation":

Outrage breaks out in the office after Phyllis gets an unexpected eyeful from a flasher. Michael makes some important personal decisions when he takes the women on a special outing. Meanwhile, Dwight and Andy work on catching the predator.

if you can't wait the 4 hours (like me), you can check out clips of tonight's show on yahoo! tv.

in other office related news, the onion is reporting that cbs is planning on airing it's own version of the office. i think if this were a real article, the word sacrilege would come to mind. it's an entertaining article though and jennie tan (who runs officetally) is quoted in the "story".

and for all you krasinski fans (like me, duh), the license to wed trailer is finally available. i don't care if this movie has mandy moore and robin williams in it. consider my ticket already pre-bought on fandango.

preview: tonight's lost

if you are behind on your lost, then stop reading now to avoid potential spoilers that you haven't seen yet. on last week's episode ("d.o.c.") we learned that: 1) juliet "hates" ben, 2) the baby that sun is carrying is indeed jin's, 3) the mysterious parachuter that landed on the island tells hurley that the wreckage of flight 815 was found and there were no survivors.

who knows if they will follow up on that whole "no survivors" thing, but i hope they do. but good news, locke is back on the island. and although i'm not the biggest locke fan, i'm glad to see he's back. i'm curious as to what he's done. not to mention that this sneak peek of a scene from tonight's episode is very intriguing:

(click above or here to see clip)

summary of tonight's episode: "the brig". locke breaks away from the others in an attempt to persuade sawyer to help him get rid of a major thorn in both their sides. meanwhile, a newcomer to the island has shocking news about flight 815.
